The Customs and Excise Department wishes to inform that the ASYCUDA World System will be temporarily unavailable from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday August 22, 2026 . To prevent any data loss please save your work locally or to the server before 6:00 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Following the successful implementation of the Customs Vehicle Release Verification System (CVRS), the Customs and Excise Department wishes to advise that, effective Monday, August 24, 2026, it will discontinue the temporary arrangement of printing two copies of the Customs Release Order for motor vehicles. Customs brokers and authorized declarants will be responsible for selecting "Print vehicle details" in ASYCUDA and providing the resulting Customs Vehicle Release Verification Details to their clients for presentation to the Ministry of Transport..... Please click the title of this notice for further details.

The Customs and Excise Department wishes to inform importers, customs brokers, motorcycle importers, and the general public that, effective July 6, 2026, the paper-based process requiring a customs stamp or seal to confirm the release of motorcycles for first-time registration will be discontinued.
With the implementation of the Customs Vehicle Release Verification System (CVRS), the Customs release status of motorcycles will now be verified electronically by the Department of Transport. Persons seeking first-time registration of a motorcycle will therefore no longer be required to present a Customs-stamped or sealed release document.
This enhancement forms part of the department's digital transformation program and will:
¿ Improve the efficiency of the registration process;
¿ Eliminate unnecessary paper-based documentation;
¿ Reduce the risk of fraudulent or altered release documents; and
¿ Provide secure, real-time verification of Customs release status.
Members of the public are encouraged to ensure that all Customs clearance requirements have been satisfied before visiting the Department of Transport for first-time registration.
The Customs and Excise Department thanks the public and its stakeholders for their continued cooperation as we modernize Customs services and improve the delivery of public services.
For further information, please contact the Customs and Excise Department.
