The Customs & Excise Department wishes to advise carrier agents of a change in the functionality of the Transit Document (T1).
Effective Monday, February 21st, 2022 all transit waybills with a nature of 24 transferred on a T1 will now require
that the carrier agent change the nature back to 23 to allow for the preparation of the customs declaration (SAD).
Previously, the T1 document was programmed to automatically change any waybill transferred with the nature 24
to revert to 23 once the Customs Officer at the destination transit shed validates the arrival. This automatic change in
the nature of the waybills caused the system to hang which resulted in the transfer of cargo process being incomplete and led to undue delay in moving cargo to the respective transit shed. We thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue to make improvements to the ASYCUDA World system and to enhance our Customs procedures.
ALL users of the Saint Lucia ASYCUDA World services are hereby informed that effective Wednesday January 19th, 2022, the ASYCUDA Web Page @ http://aw.customs.gov.lc/awlive shall be discontinued. The ASYCUDA Login file is currently available @ https://asycuda.customs.gov.lc.
